The squad’s preparations for the match were completed on Tuesday afternoon with a training session at the Toumba Stadium. The training program was mainly dedicated to the tactical approach of the game, while there was also emphasis given to set-piece plays.

Omar El Kaddouri followed the team’s program as normal after recovering from injury, while Douglas Augusto and Diego Biseswar trained individually out on the practice pitches, with Vieirinha and Jose Crespo doing some physiotherapy and running as they stepped up their gradual training efforts with a view to returning to action.
