The Final Week
And now the finals. Plural. First comes Tuesday’s (17.05) showdown with Panathinaikos in the Super League and then on Saturday (21.05) we face the same opponents in the Greek Cup final. At the “Georgios Karaiskakis” PAOK showed that the team is in recovery mode and the team are called upon not just to play, but to win.
The technical staff have to manage the fitness of those who played in the last couple of games, as well as those players returning from injury.
Vieirinha, Lyratzis, Jaba, Oliveira and Douglas all followed part of the training session as part of their gradual reintegration back to full training in view of the two finals against Panathinaikos.
On Sunday (15.05) the players who started the last match followed a recovery and rehabilitation program, while the rest of the group worked on the pitches on tactics, while there was also a mini-friendly match played out.
On Monday (16.05) PAOK will train at 18:00 at the Toumba Stadium.
