Into the home stretch
POAK’s season premiere is just two days away. PAOK travel to Bulgaria and are looking to take the first step to qualification against Levski Sofia. The squad have entered the final stretch of their preparations for the start of official competitive matches.
On Tuesday (19.07) tactics once again monopolized the coaching team’s interest. Ball circulation, build-up play, and automation came to the fore, with the coaching staff showing the players the basics of the game plan against Levski via various drills and plays.
Lefteris Lyratzis felt some discomfort in his right ankle, withdrew from training and will be re-evaluated tomorrow. Omar El Kaddouri and Nelson Oliveira both underwent treatment, and Giannis Michailidis continued his rehabilitation program.
On Wednesday (20.07) PAOK will train at 09:30 at the Toumba, with the first 15 minutes open to media representatives. PAOK’s pre-match news conference will take place at 12:15 featuring Razvan Lucescu and Ingi Ingason.
Then, in the early evening at 19:00, the Double-headed Eagle squad will depart from Macedonia Airport on a charter flight to Sofia.
