The tempo moves up a gear in Nea Mesimvria
Wednesday (24.08) was a day when the pace of the week’s training sessions reached its peak in Nea Mesimvria, with the players completing a high intensity program of drills ahead of the upcoming match against Atromitos at the Toumba on Sunday (28.08, 21:45).
The training session started with a warm-up and some rondo. Possession games then followed swiftly, played within small spaces, while the players were then divided into two groups. While one group was working on tactics with the coaches, the other group were put through their paces on an obstacle course. At the end, a high-intensity, mini-friendly match was held.
Giannis Michailidis and Ivan Nasberg continued to train individually both outside and in the gym.
On Thursday (25.08) PAOK will train at 09:30 in Nea Mesimvria.
*Greece coach Gustavo Poyet and the technical director of the country’s national teams, Kostas Kostantinidis, were both in attendance at Nea Mesimvria, taking the time to watch some of the players and also speak with Razvan Lucescu and Jose Boto.
