Tactics and finishing

A derby clash in Piraeus against Olympiacos. It is one of those games that, beyond three points, can give you a lot in terms of boosting confidence, and everyone in the Double-headed Eagle camp knows it. By default it is of course a difficult game, but one which can life the team for the difficult weeks ahead. And as expected, PAOK’s coaching staff and the players are working hard together to achieve the desired result.

12.10.2022

Wednesday’s (11.10) training started with the customary warm-up and then some exercises related to the team’s passing game. The players were then divided into two groups. While one group worked with the technical staff on the tactical side, the other group practiced finishing, with the roles changing in the second half of the session. In the last part of the program, there was a fast-paced kickabout between the two groups.

Douglas Augusto and Konstantinos Koulierakis both executed a high-intensity individual training program and are counting down to their return to the full training. Andre Vieirinha and Brandon Thomas remained inside for physio treatment and a lite training program in the swimming pool, while Giannis Michailidis continued his rehab program out on the pitches.

On Thursday (13.10) the PAOK squad will be back in for training at 10:30 in Nea Mesimvria.
