PAOK kick-off preparations for AEK

The game against Asteras Tripolis has been consigned to the history books, with PAOK keeping the team’s reaction in the last part of the match as the positive and now moves on to the next challenge: the derby game against AEK at the OPAP Arena – PAOK’s first visit to the stadium.

25.10.2022

The preparation began on Tuesday (25.10) afternoon in Nea Mesimvria. The players who were in the starting XI for Sunday’s game against the Arcadians followed a recovery and rehabilitation program on the field, the gym and the swimming pool, while the rest of the squad worked with the coaches on ball possession and tactics, while they also played a mini-friendly in the last part of the session.

Lefteris Lyratzis and Marios Tsaousis began their respective treatments to deal with the injuries they received during the game against Asteras. The former has a groin strain and the latter a medial lateral injury to his right knee. Both players are expected to be sidelined for between 4-6 weeks.

Andrija Živković, who also suffered a toe injury, also received treatment, while Brandon Thomas did an individual training session on the practice pitches and Andre Vieirinha did some running as well as a program in the gym.

On Wednesday (26.10) PAOK will be back in at Nea Mesimvria to train at 10:30.
