From Panathinaikos to… Panathinaikos
The first of three consecutive games against Panathinaikos is a wrap. PAOK took the spoils from the first half of their Greek Cup quarter-final tie, and now attentions turn to the Super League battle.
As Razvan Lucescu said after the end of last night’s match, PAOK must quickly forget about the victory at the Toumba and focus on the imminent «final» at «Leoforos», which will go a long way to deciding how the 2022-23 Super League title race will go.
The players who were in the starting XI on Wednesday night (18.01) followed a recovery and recuperation program which involved work on the training pitch, in the gym and in the swimming pool. The rest of the squad trained under the instructions of the coaching staff, with the… menu including warm-ups, possession games, work on the passing game and at the end, a mini-friendly clash.
Marios Tsaousis, Omar El Kaddouri, Filipe Soares and Nicolas Quagliata worked individually, Thomas Murg did some physiotherapy and some work in the pool and gym, while Jasmin Kurtic continued his special injury recovery program.
On Friday (20.01) PAOK will train at 16:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
