Time to qualify
Part 2 of the recent trilogy of games against Panathinaikos saw PAOK victorious once more. Or rather, triumphant. The team’s goal to narrow the gap to the top has been achievd, but now comes the third game against the Greens which decides a lot.
The «first half» of the tie at the Toumba saw PAOK put themselves in the driving seat with a clear 2-0 lead, but nothing is finished yet and everyone in the Double-headed Eagle camp is fully aware that on Thursday (26.01) another final awaits them at «Leoforos».
The preparation started on Monday morning (23.01) in Nea Mesimvria. The players who were in the starting XI of Sunday’s match stayed in the gym and the swimming pool for recovery and rehabilitation. The rest worked on the training pitches on the passing game through various drills and games, while they also played a friendly match to wrap up the session.
Omar El Kaddouri, Marios Tsaousis, Nicolas Quagliata and Filipe Soares followed individual programs, Thomas Murg started some running work, Jasmin Kurtic continued the special program that he follows, and Lefteris Lyratzis returned to Nea Mesimvria and started working in the gym.
On Tuesday (24.01) PAOK will train at 16:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
