Under-15’s defeat Aris 5-1
The recovery came late, by the Under-15 team’s standards, but 40 minutes was enough to turn a 12-0 deficit into a 5-1 win over Aris on the first matchday of the 3rd round of the Super League.
The home team took the lead in the 38th minute, but the Double-headed Eagle recovered quickly before starting to … score goals in bursts. In the 47th minute, Matera, from an assist by Chaldezos, made it 1-1. Then, in the 58th minute, Matera once again found the net, this time from a pass by Souvlatzis, to put teh visitors in front, and in the 73rd minute, it was Souvlatzis‘ turn to get on the scoresheet to make it 3-1 from Hatsidis‘ assist. Matera completed his hat-trick in the 77th minute, taking advantage of Tsialis‘ pass, and finally Papadopoulos rounded off the scoring to make it 5-1 in the 79th minute, assisted by Lazaridis. There could have been more goals, as PAOK also hit the woodwork twice, with Chaldezos and Souvlatzis the unlucky duo.
