PAOK tried to fight back, but the final whistle marked the end of an incredible European adventure that began in July and ended in April. But now is not the time to mull over it. The post-mortem’s can take place when the season ends, as PAOK now have to focus on the race for the league title. The first challenge comes on Sunday against Olympiacos in Piraeus.

A day after the tough match against Club Brugge at Toumba Stadium, the PAOK squad were in Nea Mesimvria to start their preparations for the game in Faliro.

The players who were in the starting line-up against the Belgians followed a recovery and rehabilitation program in the gym and the swimming pool.

The rest of the players went out on the field for a high-intensity training program, with games and exercises dedicated to build-up play and ball circulation.

Ivan Nasberg followed an individual program on the training pitch, while William Troost-Ekong did physiotherapy and some running work.

On Saturday (20.04) PAOK will train at 11:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
