Cimirot at PAOK FC until 2019

PAOK FC announce the extension of their contract with Gojko Cimirot. His deal was expiring in 2018 and the two sides agreed to a year’s extension. The Bosnia international midfielder will remain at Toumba Stadium until June 2019.

In his first season at PAOK and despite spending two months on the sidelines due to injury, he proved right those who regard him among Bosnia’s up-and-coming football stars. The 23-year old midfielder featured in 25 encounters, provided 257 successful passes, made 75 steals, served 4 assists and scored one goal. It was the Goal of the Season, as voted by paokfc.gr’s visitors and Players’ Best Goal of the Season as acknowledged by his teammates.

Through his performances for PAOK, Gojko Cimirot gained a permanent spot in the national squad of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is eagerly anticipating a chance to become a regular for Mehmed Baždarević.

After signing the extension of his contract with the “Double-Headed Eagle”, Cimirot spoke to paokfc.gr: «I am very happy for remaining at PAOK for an extra season and I wish to thank everyone at the club, Mr. Savvidis, Mr. Micheľ, the coach, my teammates and everyone working for us for their trust in me.

From day one, I feel very at ease at PAOK. I met a family who helped me adjust immediately to the club. I wish that we will achieve our goals as soon as possible and give our fans the joy they deserve for being by our side through thick and thin«.
