Preparing for Panionios – Prijović’s recovery plan

PAOK are preparing for yet another tough encounter, as Panionios visit Toumba aiming to keep their distance from the “Double-Headed Eagle”.

16.03.2017

Vladan Ivić and his players know only too well that there is no luxury of losing more ground in the league and they are preparing to return to their winning ways.

Thursday’s training session focused on tactics, especially on transition from defence to attack and vice versa. PAOK head coach can’t count on suspended Stelios Malezas, who is also nursing a foot strain, nor on the also injured Djalma Campos and Aleksandar Prijović.

Recovery plan

The 26-year old forward underwent surgery on Wednesday evening by head of PAOK medical services Manolis Papakostas. He has already left the hospital and is resting at home. Come Monday (20 March), he will start special physiotherapy in the clavicle area, as well as physical condition workout with gym drills and stationary bike.

The objective is to have the player up and running as soon as possible and working on his physical condition during his recovery.

Friday’s training session will start at 16:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
