PAOK completed preparations for their game against SKODA Xanthi with a training session held at Toumba Stadium. After the usual warm-up, Giorgos Georgiadis and his troops worked on tactics. The “Double-Headed Eagle” coach analyzed to his players how he wants them to move on the pitch in order to break through the opponent’s defence.

In the final stretch of the session, worked focused on set pieces, both in attacking and defending situations. Hedwiges Maduro did physiotherapy, jogging and ball drills, Ricardo Costa went through strengthening and proprioception exercises and jogging, while Asterios Giakoumis remained in the gym for physiotherapy as he suffered a spasm in the latissimus dorsi muscle. Dimitris Salpingidis, who is recovering after a foot surgery, is expected to start jogging in ten days.

After the session, Giorgos Georgiadis announced his 18-men squad for the SKODA Xanthi encounter: Charles Itandje, Panagiotis Glykos, Răzvan Raț, Stelios Kitsiou, Dimitris Konstantinidis, Miguel Vítor, Giorgos Tzavellas, Achilleas Pougouras, Ergys Kace, Alexandros Tziolis, Christian Noboa, Eyal Golasa, Róbert Mak, Stelios Pozoglou, Stefanos Athanasiadis, Dimitris Papadopoulos, Facundo Pereyra, Efthymis Koulouris.
