Giorgos Georgiadis and his troops worked on ball circulation through drills and possession games in the training session of Holy Tuesday that lasted 75 minutes.
After the usual warm-up, PAOK players went through drills in reduced pitch against four goals, focusing on the team’s deployment under pressure.
The good news of the day was the sight of Ricardo Costa going through the whole session without complaining of knee pains and declaring himself at the disposal of the Greek coach. Stefanos Athanasiadis, who nurses a bruised right knee, warmed up alongside his teammates and then went through physiotherapy, as did Facundo Pereyra. Alexandros Tziolis did physiotherapy and strengthening drills, while Panagiotis Deligiannidis who suffers from an interior ligament injury also engaged in strengthening exercises.
Hedwiges Maduro is training in intense pace and Dimitris Salpingidis is expected to start jogging next week.
There are two training sessions scheduled on Holy Wednesday at Nea Mesimvria. The morning session will be open to media and, after its completion, players will be available for interviews.
