Squad selected for the Greek Cup qualifier
Panionios is the surprise package of the season, level on points with PAOK at fourth place of the league standings. Their face-off on Thursday however corresponds to the Greek Cup quarter-finals. The “Double-Headed Eagle” are aiming to build on the 1-1 draw they secured in the first leg and clinch qualification.
PAOK’s task is far from easy, Panionios having proved that they have a very good team. The “Double-Headed Eagle” have their luck in their hands and count on the extra asset of their fans’ support.
PAOK completed their preparation for their second-leg Greek Cup match with a training session held in Toumba Stadium. Igor Tudor focused on tactics and rehearsed his plans.
The Croatian coach was happy to see Marin Leovac train normally. The player isn’t ready yet for 90 minutes, but has been included in the squad. On the contrary, Giannis Mystakidis still hasn’t recovered from his foot sole pains and has been ruled out of the encounter, along with Dimitris Konstantinidis, Charis Charisis, Panagiotis Glykos, Jairo, Garry Rodrigues, Nikos Korovesis and suspended Giorgos Tzavellas.
