«We will give it everything for the away win»
Giannis Mystakidis spoke to Novasports TV ahead of the away encounter against Asteras in Tripolis. He also referred to their European match versus ACF Fiorentina and the strong competition to be a starter for PAOK this season.
On the encounter against ACF Fiorentina:
«It was a very good game. We played well, as everybody witnessed. We have no problem in dealing with such high-level rivals and we have proved that in the past. In my opinion, we could have gotten something better out of this match. It’s important not to lose and we are building on these games«.
On the 3-5-2 and if they have worked especially on adjusting to the rival:
«We are known for our adjustment capabilities. We have played with various formations. Our players coming out on the pitch adjust to each match’s complexion. The team can do that and it’s a very important trait«.
On the team’s progress:
«We are still at the start. It is very important that we are tough to beat and we improve constantly. The players who joined us recently are very good and there is competition for the starting line-up. It’s also crucial that we are keeping healthy and are all at the disposal of our coach«.
On their full roster and the players with less minutes on the pitch:
«There are many good players. We are giving it all on the pitch, and our coach sees that. We are not letting our guard down and we always try for the best, so that we will be ready when given the chance to play«.
On the upcoming encounter in Tripolis:
«We will analyze our rivals before the match. They had a bad result on the opening day of the league and they want to bounce back now. Our head-to-head record shows that we have had problems in Tripolis. We will go there to give it all and get the three points«.
