Opening evenings II
The first leg against Östersunds FK marked his debut on PAOK’s bench and presented the challenge of qualification. The next challenge is the Super League. Another opening match for Răzvan Lucescu, another big aim.
PAOK must now leave aside the tie against Östersunds FK and focus on the Super League as it kicks off this weekend. The “Double-Headed Eagle” want nothing but a victory in Livadia.
That was made perfectly clear by the Romanian tactician after the final whistle of the encounter against the Swedish outfit. There is no time for relaxation at PAOK and the players must be ready to battle at all times.
Dimitris Pelkas picked up a knee injury during Thursday’s match and will miss the league’s opening match. He will have an MRI to determine the extent of his injury.
José Alberto Cañas continued with his personalized training program, while Panagiotis Deligiannidis and Dorian Lévêque went through special drills with ball. Those who started Thursday’s match did recuperation and decompression work, while the rest worked on ball passing and tactics.
On Saturday (19 August), PAOK will train at 10:00 in Toumba Stadium. Their flight to Athens leaves at 17:00 and from there they will travel by bus to Livadia.
