Qualification and hard work

It became evident on the Super League’s opening day that PAOK need to work more in order to reach the desired performance levels set by club and coach. The effort is hard and ongoing. Early on Monday morning, PAOK players started preparing for the second leg against Östersunds FK. They enjoyed just a few hours of sleep following their return to Thessaloniki after midnight and were back on the pitch at 10:00.

Those who started the Levadiakos match did special recuperation and decompression work. The rest worked on physical condition, ball passing and transition game through a series of high-intensity drills.

Dorian Lévêque and Dimitris Pelkas followed part of the program. The latter has a good chance of being ready for Thursday’s encounter. José Alberto Cañas also trained at a higher pace as he gets ready to reintegrate the squad. He will work harder on Tuesday and is expected to rejoin normal training on Friday 25 August.

Tuesday’s training session is scheduled to start at 19:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
