PAOK and Lamia have met #4 times in the Super League, with the Double-headed Eagle of the North recording four wins without conceding a single goal. Overal, PAOK’s record against Lamia is 10-0 in terms of goals, while victories have come with four different scorelines. On October 15, 2017 PAOK prevailed 4-0 (10 ‘Leovac, 24’ Prijovic, 50 ‘Pelkas, 88’ Prijovic), at the Toumba, while there were two away wins, one by a 2-0 scoreline (56′ Pelkas, 62′ Maurizio) and one with a 1-0 result (54′ Varela). PAOK’s last win was a 3-0 success on April 7, 2019 (34′ Enrique, 78 Shakhov, 83 Biseswar).

Before the two teams met in the Super League, they had played each other #3 times, with all of those games coming in the Greek Cup. In fact, the first one, on June 28, 1972, was a one-legged tie in the semi-finals, with the Fthiotida outfit being the first second division representative in the history of the competition to reach that stage.

PAOK scored #2 goals in that Greek Cup match. Stavros Sarafis opened the scoring in the 48th minute, while Koulis Apostolidis added a second in the 56th minute to make it 2-0 which sent PAOK through to the final. The club went on to lift the trophy with a 2-1 victory over Panathinaikos at the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium.

PAOK players scored #15 goals in just two games against Lamia in the third round of the 1984-85 Greek Cup, with the Fthiotida team competing in the third tier that season. The first leg ended 6-0 in favor of PAOK at the Toumba, with Papritsa and Dimopoulos each scoring twice, with further goals coming from Damanakis and Iordanidis. In the second leg in Lamia, PAOK won by a 9-1 scoreline. Lenta scored the home side’s only goal from the penalty spot, while Vassilakos bagged a hat-trick for PAOK. Other scorers on that day were Mavromatis and Iordanidis, both of whom scored twice, while Ipasidis added the ninth.

#Lamia became the 68th team PAOK faced in the top fight and of course this year a new opponent will be added in the form of the Super League’s newest member, Volos FC, who will become the 69th club to face PAOK in 60 years.
