Completely focused on the next target

PAOK’s European adventure concluded this week leaving a bittersweet taste. The Double-headed Eagle performed well in most of the matches, but paid dearly for some errors made, initially against Krasnodar and then against Omonia, all of which lead to an inglorious exit. The focus now switches completely to domestic targets.

The next challenge for the players is the upcoming match against Aris. The preparation time is limited of course, with the squad gathering in Nea Mesimvria on Friday (11.12).

Those who started the match against Granada followed a recovery and recuperation program in the gym and swimming pool. The rest of the group executed a high-intensity training session in view of Sunday’s contest, with the program including stretching and running drills, as well as some rondo and games played in limited spaces with the emphasis on passing.

For the match against Aris, the coaching team will be without the suspended Omar El Kaddouri and the injured Rodrigo Souares, who has though started running again. Andre Vieirinha completed the full training session and his status will be decided after the final training session before the match at the Kleanthis Vikelidis.

On Saturday (12.12) PAOK will train again at 11:30 at the Toumba Stadium.
