Tactics for Sunday
PAOK celebrated a great victory over AEK on Matchday 7 of the Super League Interwetten Play Offs to go two points clear of Aris in the battle for second place. And now it’s time for the next challenge at the Toumba in Sunday’s (09.05) local derby.
The Double-headed Eagle squad are preparing to welcome the Yellows and the sole aim is to get three points in order to extend their lead.
On Thursday (06.05) the players had a rest day to get some much needed downtime. On Friday (07.05) the players and coaching staff were back in Nea Mesimvria for training over the two days left they have to prepare for Sunday.
The players who started at the ΟΑΚΑ did some rehab and recovery work in the gym and swimming pool. The rest of the group rolled up their sleeves and got to work out on the practice pitches ahead of the match against Aris.
Training for the day included some running exercises, passing games, a tactics session, and finally a mini friendly match.
Jose Crespo, Omar El Kaddouri and Shinji Kagawa trained individually, while Ingi Ingason remained with the plysiotheraposts to have some treatment.
On Saturday (08.05), PAOK will train at 11:00 at the Toumba.
