Paschalakis’ buzzer beater
Alexandros Paschalakis’ incredible save from Karelis in the game against Panetolikos in Agrinio is September’s nak Play of the Month.
PAOK were in front, trying to defend their lead, while Panaitolikos were pushing for a draw. The Double-headed Eagle defense were holding up well, but then it the 88th minute, the hosts found a way to get a route to goal. After a cross came into the six-yard box, the ball reached Karelis, who fired in a first-time shot on the move which looked destined for the back of the net. However, The Goldkeeper was there as the last line of defence and saved superbly, ensuring the visitors went home with the three points.
In the September Play of the Month poll, Alexandros Paschalakis received 66.28% of the vote to win the individual award for the second month in a row, following up his win in August.
Douglas Augusto was in second place for his excellent assist in the same game for Mitrita’s goal, while Lucas Taylor completed the podium with his impressive slalom-like dribble and assit in Gibraltar against Lincoln for Akpom’s opening goal of that game.
