Paschalakis: «We’re… hungry for victories»
Alexandros Paschalakis spoke to Novasports TV ahead of Sunday’s encounter against Atromitos at the Toumba. Here is what the Greece intrernational goalkeeper said via paokfc.gr.
On the taste left by the victory over AEK and qualification to the semi-finals of the Greek Cup:
«The taste is the sweetness of the victory and the qualification, that is what remains. But we must emphasize that the team is showing character and strong mentality, These are the key takeaways that we want to keep in our minds.»
On whether Jasmin Kurtic is ultimately a forward vs. a midfielder:
«He is a good footballer with attacking virtues and intent, he likes to push forward and score, and that is very good for the team.»
On the run of undefeated matches and whether Razvan Lucescu is beginning to put his stamp on the team again:
«These are things that do take time. A coach comes who wants to change everything and put his personal stamp on things is not an easy task, nor does it happen overnight. I believe that over time we will see more and more of the elements that the coach wants.»
On the secret of PAOK’s success over the last two months:
«Chemistry».
On today’s match with Atromitos:
«We are hungry. And have the same hunger that Atromitos has right now. They are struggling for survival. Unfortunately, we can not dwell on the previous games. You have to show the same desire and the same competitive edge every day in order for the previous victories to have value.»
On the match against FC Midtjylland:
«We have not analyzed Midtjylland at all yet, as it is still some way away. We have focused on the game with Atromitos, and then after this game we will start to look at Midtjylland.»
On his current status:
«I am calm, and since I am here, and the team wins and I help it to win, then I am also happy.»
