PAOK 100: A journey of honor and memory, a beacon for the future

A century of history is not just an anniversary. It is memory, responsibility and promise. It is the unique journey of club that was born from persecuted refugees, carrying their homeland, faith and dignity, and that managed to become a symbol of strength, pride and resistance.

The PAOK Centenary Celebration Committee, with respect for history and an eye on the future, is implementing and presenting a series of initiatives that honor the past, embrace the present and inspire future generations.

In this context, significant actions have already been carried out to mark the start of the centenary year. The new year found the PAOK family united, with fireworks at the Toumba Stadium lighting up the sky and welcoming 2026.

At the same time, in collaboration with the Municipality of Thessaloniki, 1,926 trees were planted, as a symbolic and substantial act of responsibility towards the environment, offsetting the carbon footprint of the team’s travel.

With special emotions, PAOK is also embracing new life, offering all children born in April 2026 their first black and white babysuit, sending the message: «From birth, the first word, our way of life since ’26».
The initiatives continue and will culminate throughout the year.

On April 20, PAOK’s birthday, Aristotelous Square will be the epicenter of events on a day of remembrance and emotion for the entire black and white family. From 11:00 to 21:00 the space will be transformed into an open, vibrant journey through PAOK’s history, with images, sounds and activities for young and old, which will conclude with an impressive drone show in the sky of Thessaloniki.

At the same time, in collaboration with the Radio Amateurs Union of Northern Greece, the message of PAOK’s 100 years will travel around the world, via the special call sign SX100PAOK, from April 18 to May 18.

At the same time, the publication of a centenary album dedicated to the club’s 100 years is planned, as well as the creation of a documentary film that will capture the journey, the moments and the people who marked this unique journey.

On October 9-11, a scientific conference on the topic «100 years of PAOK: Football and Society» will be held in collaboration with the three universities of our city. This is an initiative of historical importance, as it is the first time in Greece that a football club is organizing a scientific conference on the topic of football as a social phenomenon.

A special place in the program is also occupied by the creation of a museum, where valuable relics of PAOK’s history will be exhibited, accessible to all those who want to get to know its past up close.

Finally, in collaboration with the PAOK Veteran Footballers’ Association, friendly matches and events with cultural clubs will be held throughout Greece, transferring the spirit and values of the club to every corner of the country.

This year is dedicated to our history, but also to what we still have ahead of us. And we all know that when PAOK succeeds on the pitch, the joy of its fans becomes even greater and the centenary celebrations takes on another dimension.

The club’s 100th anniversary is not simply a moment, but a journey. A journey that unites generations, honors our roots, keeps the memory of our people who were so unjustly lost over the years alive and shapes the future.
