«Wasted chances, goals out of nowhere»
Right after the final whistle of the encounter against PAS Giannina, Igor Tudor attended the press conference at Zosimades and spoke about the game, the tough schedule ahead and the importance of the international break.
Here is what the Croatian coach said:
On the changes in his starting XI and fielding Tziolis at centre back:
«We didn’t bring changes to our game. We applied our usual tactics, tried to impose our game, carved out chances, but conceded a goal out of nowhere. We are not experimenting, but choose players who fit our plans for each game«.
On whether the club will sign a forward:
«I can’t speak about the signings. I can say though that we have been playing for a month without a clear-cut central forward –Jairo and Mak are not, while Pelkas features behind the central forward. It’s not my place to comment on why we haven’t a central forward at this time. We aspire to win every game, but that depends on the roster’s quality. It’s still early to compare with the rosters and quality of other clubs«.
On choosing Tziolis ahead of Malezas:
«Tziolis’ mission was not entirely a defensive one. We pick him because he can feature in a more advanced position, as he did today –you all saw that he was among our best«.
