PAOK scorer Giannis Mystakidis spoke about lack of concentration that led to the equalizer and rued the team’s failure to score a second goal:

«We were not concentrated in the last play and ended up paying for it. We conceded and missed out on victory. In the second half, the game was played mostly in midfield. We could have sealed our win with Klaus, but ended up conceding at the end. We never underestimate any opponent. I could have brought more to the team today, as the overall performance counts, not just the goal and the shot on post. We must not relax. This game is over and the next is a few days away. We must deal with all matches in the same manner and win, regardless of the opponent. In previous encounters, our tactics paid off. Today it took a while to settle on the ball. Despite scoring the opener, we couldn’t hold on to victory. Extending my contract doesn’t mean that the effort stops. It’s just a beginning in my career«.

Robin Olsen was outstanding on the pitch, but didn’t feel like talking much and said only this:

«When conceding in the last minutes and in that manner, it’s very tough to digest«.

Dimitris Pelkas spoke about the team scoring just once and not going after a second goal:

«Perhaps we should have gone after a second goal that would secure our victory. We weren’t very good today, especially in the first half. It definitely wasn’t our day, but the way the match unfolded our win would have been a fair result«.

As for Νikos Korovesis, who excelled once again at left full-back, he qualified the goal conceded as cheap:

«This result is far from satisfying. It was a cheap goal from a set piece, there are no excuses for it. We failed to win. We had a tough time in the beginning of the first half. In the second we were in no danger, but ended up conceding after retreating. These are no excuses. We are all ready to compete, no matter who gets chosen for the line-up. On Sunday we have a tough match against AEK Athens, who are also aiming to get second place. I hope we will be lucky and win the encounter. PAOK have to win. I don’t know what is wrong. Getting a point out of a tough away match is good, but at PAOK we must claim three points in every match. Until now, I hadn’t played as much as I wished. Match by match, I adjust better and improve. I believe that I can perform well as full-back and perhaps it’s a position that suits me more«.
