PAOK were trailing 2-0 in the 55th minute. They were looking for a goal to get back into the match, but couldn’t find their way past Steele. Gojko Cimirot came up with the solution. Panathinaikos’s defence cleared a cross and the ball landed on the Bosnian player’s feet. He didn’t pause to think, but unleashed an unstoppable volley to reduce distances.

Cimirot’s goal prevailed in the poll Regency Casino Best Goal of February, emphatically landing 79,98% of the vote. The young midfielder, who scored his maiden goal for PAOK, was also voted 11888 MVP of the month. Plus, his goal won the Best Goal of the Matchday poll, organized by Super League, Novasports and PSAP.

Róbert Mak’s goal that sealed victory over Asteras Tripolis was voted in second place, while Dimitris Pelkas’s finish, following a fine collective play against Panathinaikos, was third.
