Strengthening and tactics
Tuesday’s training session consisted of two parts, with the players starting their work in the gym and then moving to the pitch.
The first part of the session focused on functional strength and included strengthening drills on the exercise equipments. The second part was all about tactics, especially working on the cohesion of the team’s lines, mainly in midfield and attack.
Regarding the injured, Dimitris Chatziisaias and Gojko Cimirot underwent medical tests that confirmed their recovery. Both are expected to be fit and ready for the encounter against Levadiakos.
The medical tests of Dimitar Berbatov showed that he hasn’t reached yet the desired level of fitness following his quadriceps injury. The coaching and medical staff decided to keep him on a program of recovery and muscular strengthening and his condition will be reevaluated.
Jairo continued his muscular strengthening program and Dimitris Konstantinidis and Giannis Mystakidis did stationary bike and physiotherapy in the gym. Charis Charisis also trained on his own, after returning from international duty with the U21s.
On Wednesday, PAOK’s training session will start at 18:00 in Toumba Stadium.
