The match was mediocre, especially in the first half. Both sides were minding their defence and it took PAOK 43 minutes to create real danger in Platanias’s box, with a diving header by Ergys Kace.

The match opened up after the interval, as both teams went after a victory –had PAOK won on Sunday, they would have started the play-offs with one point in their tally.

With more space available, Platanias went for the opener but they came up against Panagiotis Glykos who made a spectacular comeback. Garry Rodrigues and Dimitris Pelkas tried their luck as well, but they weren’t able to break the deadlock.

Vladan Ivić’s troops are focusing now on the play-offs, aiming to make the most of an opportunity to turn things around and clinch a spot in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round.
