Vítor out, Leovac in against AEK Athens
PAOK’s preparation for their first play-off encounter concluded with one casualty, as Miguel Vítor was ruled out of the match against AEK Athens.
The Portuguese central defender, who felt his calf sore in Monday’s training, did an MRI that revealed an oedema. He will follow a special recovery program and his condition will be reevaluated on Friday.
Marin Leovac is at the disposal of Vladan Ivić, as he trained normally and made the 19-man list for the AEK match. Róbert Mak is also included in the squad, despite missing trainings due to a viral infection.
Tuesday’s training session consisted of decompression games, ball passing drills in reduced space, tactical work and set-piece practice ahead of the encounter against AEK Athens. Dimitar Berbatov followed a special reintegration program.
