Squad announced for game against AEP Iraklis

The “Double-Headed Eagle” return to their Super League engagements with a Thessaloniki derby. They take on AEP Iraklis in Kaftanzoglio Stadium, with several players returning to action and some missing the encounter.

25.02.2017

Compared to the away encounter against FC Schalke 04, Vladan Ivić welcomes back Aleksandar Prijović, Ergys Kaçe, Léo Matos, Fernando Varela and Μarin Leovac. The latter has been suffering of a viral infection, however he trained normally on Saturday and is at his coach’s disposal.

José Alberto Cañas, on the contrary, is still sidelined as he hasn’t fully recovered from his medial collateral ligament injury. Giannis Mystakidis is also absent, complaining of metatarsal pains following the knock he sustained in Germany and it was deemed necessary to rest him out of precaution.

The 19 players selected by Ivić for the encounter against AEP Iraklis: Glykos, Brkić, Kitsiou, Leovac, Μatos, Crespo, Pouggouras, Varela, Μalezas, Cimirot, Kaçe, Charisis, Pelkas , Biseswar, Warda, Henrique, Campos, Prijović, Αthanasiadis.

PAOK’s last session before Sunday’s game focused on tactics and practicing set pieces, both in defence and attack.
