Eyes on the final target
The disappointment is significant and rightly so. PAOK gave everything it could, but did not manage to progress to the Greek Cup final. There’s no time for self pity, however, and on Thursday (25.06) morning the only thing on everybody’s mind is to achieve the club’s final goal of the season.
The Dikefalos tou Vorra is looking to turn the page and move forward from the Greek Cup elimination by Olypiacos and is focusing on clinching second place in the Super League Play Offs which is worth a place in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds.
Just several hours after the match in Faliro, both players and coaching staff gathered at Nea Mesimvria and began the preparations for the upcoming match against Aris at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium.
The players who started the match against the Erythrolefki took part in a recuperation and wind-down program, while the rest of teh group worked on passing and some tactical aspects.
Dimitris Pelkas and Adelino Vieirinha followed their individual programs away from the rest of the squad as a precaution.
The squad will train again at Nea Mesimvria on Friday (26.06) at 18:00.
