On the main reasons for PAOK’s defeat:

«In the first half we were quite good. We were pressing, we created chances. And then Olympiacos got a goal, but generally we produced a good display. In the second half the team got a little tired, we also had the derby with AEK last Sunday. It was a very intense game where we chased the score twice and wanted to win. We lost a lot of strength and that was evident in the second half. We had some chances to equalize, but we didn’t manage it and then after Olympiacos’ second goal, the game was over.»

On whether the team is on the verge of fatigue:

«Yes. We have some players who have played almost all of the games. They are tired and we still have games every three days. This needs caution, and we will do rotations for sure. There is no time to do exactly what we want with the series of games, but we have to get on with it. We have two days to recover and then play again. Some players who play a lot are tired, but we have to do some things well on the pitch apart from the fatigue that exists’ however there is no time to do all of the things that we want.»

On whether the defeat by Olympiacos now adds pressure on the team:

«Yes, at the moment we are fourth in the standings, but we are close to all of the other teams. We have to fight to win all of the games, and we also have the cup ahead of us which is important for us. There are many games and we have a lot of goals to achieve until the end of the season.»

On the situation with Shinji Kagawa and when he will be available:

«He is a player of great quality. It will take time though. We see he has some gaps in terms of his physical condition, so he needs a little more time. In terms of his quality this is not in question, he is looking great. We are working on him, and we have a special program ready for him so he will be available to us soon.»

On the incoming transfers of Baba and Brandonjic:

«Baba, the left back, will give us another option in that position following the departure of Giannoulis. We only had Pereira there as a left-back. He will help us a lot. He has quality, and is very strong. We want to have two left backs and that is why he was brought in. We are expecting a lot. Brandonjic is still young, but with great quality and talent, he will help us too.»

On whether any other transfers are expected:

«The last few days have been a bit crazy with transfers and a lot is happening. At the moment we do not know anything more.»

On the game with Panetolikos:

«We have to respond as coaches, as well as a team after the defeat by Olympiacos. We want to produce a good performance in our next game and out sole aim is to win. We are obliged to win. Everyone is ready and we are looking forward to it.»

On whether there are any fresh injury problems:

«No, some players are tired, but they are all ready.»
