The squad for the match against Olympiacos
January’s marathon of matches brings another derby clash for the Double-headed Eagle, this time away at Olympiacos. PAOK travel to Athens with the aim of getting a win to reduce the deficit between the two teams in the league standings, and continue the team’s recent positive peformances.
The final training session before the derby in Faliro, which was essentially the only full session with all the players available, took place on Tuesday (26.01) morning in Nea Mesimvria. The program kicked off with the necessary warm-up drills, which was followed by some running exercises and rondo, while the rest of the practice was devoted to some tactics work with the coaches showing the players what they want to see on the pitch at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.
Jose Crespo has not fully recovered from the knock he got on his thigh in the match against ΑΕΚ and he is not available for selection, while the only other player still sidelined is long-term injury victim Enea Mihaj, who continued his rehab program.
