Tactics focus ahead of Panathinaikos
The international break is over, and players have been returning from duty with their national teams. Now the countdown is on until PAOK’s return to action. The upcoming match against Panathinaikos is the focus of everyone’s attention as players and coaching staff step up the preparations for the derby clash.
Tactics was the main course on the menu once again on Thursday (01.04) at training in Nea Mesimvria. After the necessary warm-up exercises and some further fitness drills, the players were split into groups of defenders and attackers, and worked on various scenarios via games in restricted spaces. It was shorter session compared to recent days, but a high intensity one nonetheless.
Rahman Baba joined full training having trained individually yesterday, while Christos Tzolis and Andrija Zivkovic trained individually in order to be gradually re-integrated to full training with the rest of the squad.
Last but not least, the only player on the injured list still is Enea Mihaj. The Albanian defender continued his long-term rehab training program.
On Friday (02.04), PAOK will train at 16:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
