Under-19 side end season with a draw

PAOK’s Under-19 team wrapped up their Super League season with a draw on Saturday (09.04) after they were held 0-0 away from home against Apollon Smyrnis – a result which means they ended the campaign with 47 points from 24 games.

09.04.2022

PAOK’s Under-19 team surrendered this year’s trophy to Panathinaikos in a year of changes and reorganizations, and the team are already starting their preparations for the next season. Even in today’s match, there was a nod to the future with the coaching team using a handful of players born in 2005, who will make up the next set of Under-19 players.

Obviously the game itself on Saturday was not a mtch worthy of much analysis, nor perhaps for conclusions. It was a rather balanced affair with PAOK finding ways to get in behind the opposition defence, but not being able to convert their chances.

PAOK lineup: Angelidis, Georgiadis (85′ Filon), Tasiouras, Kottas, Tsikos, Zilos, Spyrakos (75′ Adam), Kalogiros, Kedikoglou (64′ Smyrlis), Darelas (64′ Goumas), Martos (75′ Garnetas).
