- This is the seventh meeting between the two teams in the Super League, with PAOK having so far recorded four wins and two draws against the recently-founded club, which have the fewest appearances in the country’s professional leagues than any other.
- PAOK has scored six goals against Volos in their first four meetings, irrespective of venue, and the last meeting between the two clubs at the Toumba ended in a thrilling 4-4 draw.
- Until then, Limnios was the first to find the net in the history of matches between the two clubs, and since then Pelkas, Vieirinha, Schwab, Ingason, and Krmencik have added their names to the list.
- In the 4-4 draw, A.Zivkovic scored twice, while Akpom was also on target in the away match during a 4-0 victory for PAOK in Volos. In this way, they became the first players to score against Volos more than once.
- From their side, Volos did not manage to score in their first three matches against PAOK both home or away, but on January 10th 2021 they opened the scoring at the Toumba through Kiakos (11′) and then they conceded three goals (29′ Schwab – 66′ Ingason – 90′ Krmencik) to make the final score 3-1.
- Volos have managed to score in two of those matches at the Toumba, but they have never scored a goal at their home ground against the Double-headed Eagle.
