Delias, Narey and… goal!
Khaled Narey’s memorable goal in the derby with AEK at the Toumba was named February’s Regency Casino Best Goal according to your votes.
It was the 14th minute of the derby against AEK in Thessaloniki. Konstantelias tries to break through the defence but falls as the challenges come in. Sitting on the turf, Konstantelias then does something quite special as the ball comes back to him from an AEK defender. The young winger juggles the ball, making three touches with foot-shoulder-foot to offload it to Narey. Without a second thought the German rifles home a first-time shot past Athanasiadis to make it 1-0. Simply a masterpiece.
And in the poll for the Regency Casino Best Goal of February, it comes as no surprise that the German’s goal swept the competition to win with a percentage of 71% to claim the award.
The podium was completed by Koulierakis‘ header against AEK that sealed the three points for the Double-headed Eagle, and Brandon Thomas’ excellent finish in Tripoli against Asteras following an assist by Rafa Soares.
