Under-19s beaten in Ioannina
The confidence from the impressive derby victory over AEK did not rub off on the players for their next match, as PAOK’s Under-19 side were defeated in Ioannina by PAS. The top of the Super League standings may now have some changes that will depend on the result of the Olympiacos – Panathinaikos match.
The Under-19s had a tough time playing in Ioannina, or to be more precise, they did not pack the punch that usually distinguishes the team. They conceded a goal in the 55th minute and although they tried to get back into the game, they did so in a rather unorthodox way. In fact, the visitors had to try to do it with 10 players from the 82nd minute, but they could not find an equalizier and left Epirus with no points.
