- PAOK and Panserraikos are facing each other for the fourth time in the Greek Cup, with the Double-headed Eagle having secured qualification twice in the previous three ties, and the Serres team once. It is characteristic, however, that in all four of their ties, together with this year’s, there have been only away victories.
- The first time the draw had brought them together was in the 1998-99 season, with Panseraikos springing a big surprise in a one-legged match at Toumba Stadium in the «Round of 16» of the competition to claim qualification to the next phase with a goal by Kostas Epirotis in the 84th minute.
- Their next meeting was on November 7, 2006 in Serres, where PAOK won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Nikos Arambatzis and claimed qualification to the last 16.
- In the 2009-10 season, their meeting was in the «Round of 16», where PAOK won 2-0 and got a ticket for the last eight, where they faced PAS Ioannina. The goals were scored by Lino via a free-kick and by Thanasis Papazoglou with a header.
- In the first leg between the two teams this season, PAOK won 4-0 thanks to goals from Nasberg, Sastre, Marcos Antonio and A.Zivkovic .
- This season, PAOK has played matches in the Greek Cup, and they have won all three scoring seven goals without reply.
- In the previous round against NFC Volos, PAOK prevailed thanks to a 1-0 win at the Toumba and a 2-0 win in Magnesia.
