Three derbies at the Toumba with three impressive goals. Konstantelias and Michailides were the major protagonists and with their inspirational moments they gave the Double-headed Eagle valuable goals at crucial points in the matches. It’s up to you to decide which of them deserves the title of Regency Casino Best Goal of April/May the most.
The first candidate is Konstantelias . In the game against Olympiacos in Toumba Stadium, Mr Breeze collected Chalov’s through ball, skipped past an opponent with a quick feint and calmly scored for 1-0 in just the fifth minute.
In the derby with Panathinaikos, it was Michailidis’ turn to score in an excellent way. After a corner kick from Pelkas , the ball fell to him and the defender sent the ball into Dragovski’s top right corner with a fine shot on the move.
The third contender is another from Michailidis. Against AEK, after a free-kick by A. Zivkovic, the ball was deflected into the path of Michailidis, and without hesitating, he fired a powerful shot with his right foot from the edge of the penalty area which flew past the visiting ‘keeper and proving to be the winning goal in a vital 1-0 win for PAOK.
