  1. He started playing football at the age of 10 in the AE Pontii Katerini academy, where he remained for eight years.

 

  1. He started out as central forward, but when he was 13 he gained 10 centimetres height and his coaches decided to change his position. They first tried him out as left midfielder, then as holding midfielder and, at the age of 16, he found his calling in the centre of defence.

 

  1. Είχε υποπέσει σε πέναλτι. He made his professional debut with Irodotos, where he played on loan from PAOK. On that day, they lost 1-0 to Malia and he committed a penalty.
