Alessio Lisci took advantage of another friendly match to test out various players and formations, giving increased playing time to several fringe players and drawing his final conclusions ahead of the start of competitive matches.

PAOK opened the scoring in just the ninth minute, when Neustad made a poor pass back his goalkeeper and the ball ended up in the net for 1-0. In the 34th minute, Konstantelias came close to scoring a second goal for PAOK, but Unerstahl made an excellent save, keeping his team in the game.

Twente then brought the game level in the 36th minute, with Orjaseter scoring with a diagonal shot, which went in off the post before ending up in the net for 1-1.

During the first half, Aritz Eloustodo was forced off with a injury, and Dimitris Bataoulas replaced hin. The Spanish defender was later confirmed to have suffered a hamstring injury and will undergo tests in the coming days to asses the extent of the damage.

The Dutch came out stronger in the second half and in the 57th minute they completed the turnaround, with Hesseling making it 2-1.

PAOK found a response in the 87th minute. Jonjoe Kenny crossed from the right and Alexander Jeremejeff fired home from close range to make it 2-2.

A minute later, the Swedish striker came within a breath of putting PAOK ahead again, but he failed to find the target from a good position.

Ultimately, it was Twente who scored the winning goal, as in the fourth minute of injury time, Hlinson made the final score 3-2 with what proved to be the last kick of the match, as the referee blew the final whistle immediately afterwards.
