Preparing for the second leg

The “Double-Headed Eagle” took the first step towards the UEFA Champions League 3rd qualifying round with their 2-1 victory over FC Basel. But their passage isn’t sealed yet. The game in Switzerland is now the focus of everyone at PAOK’s camp.

The players were given the day off on Wednesday in order to recover from their hard-fought encounter against FC Basel. On Thursday they returned to work and started prepping for the second leg.

Those who played in Toumba did decompression and recuperation work in the gym and the pool. For the rest, the menu consisted of possession game, tactical work and training match in reduced space.

Răzvan Lucescu was happy to see all his players complete Tuesday’s match without injuries. The only player remaining on the sidelines due to injury is Diego Biseswar, whose condition is improving. On Thursday, he continued his recovery in the pool and, starting on Friday, he will return to the pitch for some jogging.
