The battle for second place on the pitch

Leaving aside any artificial crisis which others have tried to impose on the club in an attempt to to break its concentration, out on the pitch, PAOK only have themselves to blame for the difficulties they find themselves in. That’s why the club is now fighting for second place that leads to the Champions League qualifiers.

The verdict from the CAS is a moral victory for the club which allows the Dikefalos tou Vorra to fight for what belongs to it on the pitch and only there – with the points that the club have won and lost via its own achievements and mistakes.

With this is mind, Abel Ferreira and his players are now preparing for the last three matches of the season. With the knowledge that they now have their fate in their own hands, the club must now achieve its final goal of the season. The Portuguese coach will wait until the last minute to see if he can have Dimitris Pelkas at his disposal, with the player still troubled by a quad injury.

Ingi Ingason also followed an individual training program due to an ankle problem, while Lazaros Lambrou has a slightly strained thigh and remained in the gym.

On Saturday (11.07) PAOK will train at the Toumba stadium and then will leave for Athens where the squad will remain for the next two games – until the match with AEK on 15.07.
