The squad for the two derby away games
PAOK is heading into the final week of the season, a week which will decide the winner of the battle for second place, with a three-point lead ahead of AEK. The team faces two away matches against Olympiacos and the Enosi in Athens, with a four-day gap in between those two matches.
On Saturday (11.07) morning, the squad gathered at the Toumba for the final training session in Thessaloniki before the trip to Athens, and it included work on fitness, passing and set-pieces, as well as a friendly match on a half-pitch with only one-touch allowed. Ingi Ingason completed the full session.
Dimitris Pelkas underwent some fitness tests to check on his readiness, but he again felt some discomfort in his quad muscles and he will have more medical examinations to evaluate the injury further.
Lazaros Lamprou – who remained in the gym – is also sidelined, along with Josip Misic, and Douglas Augusto. Conversely, recovering trio Jose Crespo, Leo Jaba and Pontus Wernbloom are included in the squad.
Abel Ferreira has selected the following squad:
Paschalakis, Zivkovic, Papadopoulos, Rodrigo, Matos, Ingason, Varela, Mihaj, Crespo, Wernbloom, Michailidis, Giannoulis, Vieirinha, Esiti, Mauricio, El Kaddouri, Tsiggaras, Biseswar, Jaba, Limnios, Stoch, Swiderski, Akpom, Tziolis.
