Recovery and some high-intensity training

PAOK was once again the dominant team in Tripoli but a combination of bad luck and not taking chances, left with only one point. The Double-headed Eagle remain third, but are level on points with AEK, missing out on the chance to to move closer to second place.

The work does not stop here, however, since in the Play Offs the matches keep coming thick and fast, and each one is tough. Next up, PAOK play host to Olympiacos at the Toumba (Sunday, 18.04, 19:30). The preparations began in earnest on Monday (12.04) morning in Nea Mesimvria. Those players who started against Asteras in Tripolis remained in hte gym and swimming pool for rehab and recovery training.

The rest of the squad went out onto the practice pitches and executed a high-intensity workout focusd on fitness conditioning and passing. Fernando Varela, Adrian Pereira, and Nika Ninua trained individually as they look to overcome minor injuries, while Enea Mihaj continued his long-term injury recovery program.

On Tuesday (13.04) the players will have a programmed day off and return to training in Nea Mesimvria on Wednesday (14.04) at 11:00.
