The hard way…

One fact is that PAOK lost the lead in teh race for first place in their Europa Conference League group – a position that offers automatic qualification to the Round of 16. The second is that the team have made life difficult for themselves again even though they were once again the best team on the field.

The combination of these two facts creates a justified irritation and frustration among the PAOK camp which must be channeled into something positive on the pitch in order for the team to produce the necessary reaction in Sunday’s (07.11) derby against Panathinaikos.

A few hours after the defeat by Copenhagen and with the players still questioning themselves about how they actually losrt the game, Razvan Lucescu and his players were back in Nea Mesimvria in order to start their preparations for the trip to «Leoforos» in Athens.

Those who featured in the starting XI against Copenhagen followed a special wind-down training program. The rest of the group worked on ball movement in limited spaces and on exercises to break down the opposition attacks, and launching counter-offensives.

Mitrita, Oliveira, Sidcley, and Augusto continued their individual recovery and rehabilitation programs.

On Saturday (06.11) PAOK will train at 10:30 at Nea Mesimvria.
