PAOK produce a reaction head of two «finals»

PAOK returned to positive performances, produced a much-needed reaction in what has been a tough time, and left the “Georgios Karaiskakis” with a point, although it could have been a win based on the balance of play, with the visitors being the better side for the majority of the 90 minutes of this Matchday 9 clash in the Play Offs of the 2021-22 Super League Interwetten.

In the 17th minute, Mitrita looked to have been fouled inside the penalty area, but match referee Evangelou and VAR did not indicate a violation, before A. Zivkovic narrowly failing to hit the target with a good shot in the 20th minute.

Olympiacos then had a spell of good possession and looked for the equalizer, which they found in the 41st minute with a close-range shot by Carvalho following a swift counter attack.

PAOK tried to re-establish their at the end of the first half, but Schwab’s header was wide of the mark.
