Tsiftsis’ double save
Antonis Tsiftsis’ incredible double save against Celta was voted by the paokfc.gr audience as PAOK TV Play of the Month for February.
In a phase that seemed to end in a certain goal against PAOK, Antonis Tsiftsis had a different opinion. Initially, he instinctively blocked the first close-range shot, parrying the ball low, but the phase was not over. Svendberg was there to collect the rebound and looked to execute a shot again from close range, with Tsiftsis recovering in a flash and stretching his body starfish-like to make an incredible second stop, keeping his goal intact. In the voting for February’s Play Of The Month, Tsiftsis collected 63.37% of the votes to claim the individual award.
In second place was Andrija Zivkovic with his amazing long-range pass-assist to Jeremejeff, while the podium was completed by Giorgos Giakoumakis with his excellent turn that led to a goal.
